Dave I loved your comment some time ago (can’t recall whether I read it or heard it on that Tekumel podcast interview maybe) that your group had never seen a dragon in their adventures but they thought they heard one once in the mist... I suspect many fans would love to read some old adventure write ups of your Iron Men? Hey in this day and age your group could even podcast or twitch TV a session... although it may somewhat ruin the magic of the session... Locals think that the Devil has come to watch the spire fall." are classic 'Legend' and convey that wonderful sense of atmosphere which our first glimpse of "Hob's Dell" did, especially in this season of mythic and Wintry endings/beginnings !

I won't deny that I love Epic/ High Fantasy (done right of course) but the world of Legend and its grungy Robin-of-Sherwood-staggers- bleeding-out-of-Mythago-Wood* vibe is such a fine, fine vintage. I love the fact that the only 'Dragons' are in the title, and here is a cracking scenario inspired by Golding not Tolkien. Who needs cardboard dungeons & dragons when you've got crazy Deans, Devil- Worshipers and desperate, damaged people just trying to survive ?

Love that quote from Golding by the way; it is delicious to read, even if, like a fine whisky, it might give you a shiver as it goes down.

*probably in the pouring rain
John Haganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16249152658906641154noreply@blogger.com
