And the rest you discover...

"We love writing ourselves into a corner. We love it. Because then it activates all of those how-do-we-get-out-of-purgatory juices. And then you get the next bright idea."

That's Mr Robert Downey Jr summing up the creative approach of the Russo brothers. He says a bit about improvisation so there might be some springboard tips there for roleplayers.

Big news tomorrow for Dragon Warriors players. See you then.

  1. Oh you tease Mr Morris! It certainly seems like with the DW renaissance that 2020 might not be a complete swine of a year after all... can’t wait!

    1. I'm expecting after November I'll either get a burst of hopeful enthusiasm or else sink into the mire of despair. Either way, I'll be cracking on with Jewelspider. I'm not expecting the rulebook to be print-ready this side of Christmas, but hopefully there'll be enough for Patreon backers to start playing it in beta.

None of which has any bearing on tomorrow's news, though ;-)

  2. When Downey was talking about Chris Evans, for a moment there I thought he was a Brummie. He says 'He's a bostin guy!'

Then I realised he's just talking about where Evans is from. But in the context of what else he was saying, 'bostin' made loads more sense.

Could the interviewer be any more boring, though? He says he used to be a stand-up comedian!

    1. I'm still trying to figure the interviewer out. He seems like a dope at times. (Why make the Hulk smart? Well, it has been an element of the comics since the '60s, but it was mainly to help show how things have changed in five years.) And he's apparently a former comedian and MMA fighter (what, now?) who interviews all sorts of people. In another episode that came up he was talking to Brian Greene about the Fermi Paradox. It's hard to fathom. A case of "forget it, Jake, it's Chinatown"?
