This year's Christmas scenario (which is not set in Legend; the clue is in the picture) is over on my Patreon page. But if you don't want to shell out for that and all the other stuff to be found there, you can select from the specials of previous years. Tomorrow there's a free boardgame here, and that's followed by a surprise extra on Christmas Eve. Ho ho ho.
Roughly 14.4 years ago I created and ran A Dragon Warriors version of The Virtual Reality Gamebook Down Among The Deadmen
ReplyDeleteSadly I lost the actual documents that detailed the actual adventure, but I think the documents on what happened during the adventure when I ran it are at my parents
Since I'm home over Christmas shall I try and find my 14 year old notes? and if I can shall I post them here?. Call it my late Christmas gift to my fellow Dragon Warriors Fans
Even after roughly 14.4 years I do remember 3 things about the adventure. Here they are. Your thoughts please
In the fight with The Earth Goddess's Priestess The Groups Sorcerer trapped her using A Banish Spell, she would resist it on A 18 or lower, as The GM I rolled for her and I rolled A 20
Luckily we decided that in order to not anger The Earth Goddess The Sorcerer would release her once we were at a safe distance
In the last round but 1 of the final fight Skaravench only needed A 10 or higher on 1D20 to finish off The Knight but I as The GM rolled for him and I rolled A 8
In the last round of the final fight The Mystic needed to roll A 15 or higher to wound Skaravench, he rolled A 16 and as Skaravench only had 1Hp left even if The Mystic only did the minimum of 1 damage he'd still kill Skaravench
I'm surprised more gamebooks don't get converted into RPGs. Tambu are doing a great job with the 5e version of Blood Sword, and I'm looking forward to that. The other one I'd like to see in RPG form would be Heart of Ice.
