The Fabled Lands CRPG that is currently in development at Prime Games is now on Steam. It's not going to be ready for a few months yet, but you can sign up so as not to miss any updates.
If these screenshots don't excite you, what can I say? You don't deserve to be an initiate of Nagil, or to have dinner with the worshippers of B-----r the Unspoken! Jamie and I have been playing it and it's everything we could have wished for in a Fabled Lands CRPG.
If the FL game sells well, hopefully Prime Games will follow up with a Blood Sword CRPG. But that could be a year or more off, so in the meantime take a look at Adam Samson's playthrough on YouTube:
Looking good Dave! Lots of two sword work there?
ReplyDeleteGood point, Nigel. I was so busy playing around with all the special abilities (troubadour lyrical magic, priest's miracles, etc) that I hardly noticed what the fighters could do.
DeleteIs the gameplay area all the books currently published?
ReplyDeleteThat's the kind of update that it's worth signing up for! Prime Games will keep everyone posted as development progresses.
DeleteAlas it looks like it needs Windows and I have a Macbook Pro...
ReplyDeleteJump in on the discussions and mention that? I'm pretty sure Prime Games are open to feedback.
DeleteMay you never speak his name.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it, have already showed my delight on steam, will be buying it, can't wait and a thanks for great memories reading the book series back in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteThe great thing about the Prime Games CRPG is it will let me and Jamie experience the books as players. I can't wait either!
DeleteFantastic news, funnily enough I just stared a new game in JaFL a few days ago. I hope this does well. I’m a Mac user as well, but boot into Windows for some games so will definitely pick this up.

ReplyDeleteThanks for you support regarding the Blood Sword stream! Not only for the plug, but for providing the visuals for the game. Gathering the players was like herding cats lately, but we have finished book 1, and have done one session for the second book.
DeleteYou're welcome, Adam. And having recently had to abort a roleplaying campaign that had taken weeks to prepare, I know what you mean about herding cats.
