A green thought in a green shade

The tour guide to the Vulcanverse has now reached Arcadia, land of sweeping meadows and enchanted woods. Part 1 looks at the Sacred Way and the outer forest, and part 2 takes the traveller deeper in to see what happened to blight this once-idyllic region and what can be done to restore it.

I'm still working away to finish the final Vulcanverse book, but if you want to start exploring then The Wild Woods is as good a place as any to dive in.

    1. Spoilers ahead! First of all you need to hook up with Loutro, a companion you can find in the southeast of Notus. Traverse the dried-up riverbed with Loutro and he'll teach you the rituals needed to make it flow again. You can then perform the ritual without Loutro, but you must find the green pearl (take a tour of ruined Iskandria), the conch horn (solve the sphinx's riddle) and a baby's rattle (visit the kingdom of Saesara in the north-west of Notus). Once you have done the ritual, the river will flow again and Iskandria will start to recover, but to fully restore it you'll also need to travel to the mountains in Boreas.

    3. For the green pearl, take a tourist trip around the ruins and be sure to get a bite to eat afterwards.

As for the riddle, you don't actually need to answer that to get the Sphinx to give you the conch horn.

    4. I did the tourist trip around the ruins and got a bite to eat and I picked up the green pearl

But because I didn't know it was important whilst in in Hades I discarded it in order to make room for The Hades Vinegar I know you need to get through The Spider Swamps of Hades

Am I completely screwed?, do I have to start again?, if you can tell me without spoiling Book 5 can I complete the series?

    5. Normally you couldn't go on having lost the pearl, but it's such a small item that I figure it doesn't take up much room in your backpack. So let's say you thought you'd discarded it but it turns out you still have it.
